Kassim Al-Khatib, Co-Director

Kassim is a professor at the University of California, Davis, and leads the Center signature project on invasive species.

Matt Baur, Project Director

Matt is the project director on the Center’s USDA grant that funds the Western IPM Center. He manages Center operations and staff and works with the Center’s Advisory and Steering committees to identify priority pest-management needs and issues in the West. He represents the Western IPM Center and the Western Region broadly to the USDA and other federal agencies, and builds regional and national networks though scientific society meetings and in other collaborative ventures. He also directs the University of California’s Office of Pesticide Information and Coordination.

Steve Elliott, Communication Coordinator

Steve plans all communication-related activities, including producing the monthly Western IPM Center newsletters and this website. He produces IPM videos, photo essays and our annual report, and manages the IPMWest blog.

Peter Ellsworth, Co-Director

Peter is a professor and IPM Coordinator at the University of Arizona. He leads the Center signature project on crop pest-losses and impact assessment.
